Bringing Entrepreneurship into the Classroom – Why Schools Should Care

By

As educators, we face the challenge of preparing young people for an uncertain future. Traditional pathways no longer guarantee stability, and young learners need more than academic knowledge—they need adaptable, creative, and collaborative thinking. This is where enterprise education becomes vital.

Enterprise education—teaching entrepreneurship as a skill—goes beyond business plans. It includes innovation, leadership, ethical decision-making, and digital literacy. These aren’t just for future CEOs; they are essential life skills.

Schools that integrate enterprise learning experience improve student engagement, better problem-solving, and increased resilience. Students feel empowered to take initiative, work in teams, and present their ideas—skills that are transferable to every subject and every career.

At RANT Academy, we work with schools to embed enterprise thinking into PSHE, business studies, and enrichment activities. Our blended courses are designed to be flexible, meeting both Gatsby Benchmarks and curriculum goals. Whether as a term project, a holiday enrichment week, or an after-school club, our modules can be scaled to fit.

Importantly, we embed sustainability and ethics into every course. Today’s learners care deeply about social and environmental issues. Giving them tools to act on those values, through business ideas or community projects, can be life-changing.

Many of our school partners report that enterprise education also supports inclusivity. It opens doors for students who may not thrive in traditional academic models but flourish when asked to innovate or lead a project.

Education isn’t just about memorising facts—it’s about preparing children for life. Enterprise learning does just that.
