Curriculum Vitae (CV) Builder

A CV, also known as a Curriculum Vitae, which is Latin for “course of life, is an organised summery of your who you are, your skills, education and qualifications.

This is your opportunity to sell yourself. You will use this process to create your CV. Do not worry if you think that you do not have ‘official’ qualifications or experiences to list on here. A CV is a snapshot of whom you are as a person, and the skills and attributes that you have to offer. Ensure that ALL of these are shown in your CV.

Everyone will be joining this course with different knowledge and experiences, but that does not mean that your CV is lacking. Building your CV is your opportunity to really think about what ‘you’ have done, and what ‘you’ have to offer.

  • Who are you? Discuss your achievements, what you have done, and how these could be transferable in work. For example: I am hardworking and created a social media campaign that attracted 300 followers.
  • What skills do you have, and what are you good at? For example: I am very good at literacy and have been writing monthly blogs for my college for 1 year now.
  • What do you enjoy doing? It does not have to be anything to do with your business idea, let your CV give us an insight into who you are and what you like to do in your spare time.
  • QualificationsSchool/CollegeGradeDates of study 
    List all of your qualifications starting from your oldest qualification first. Include any short courses you may have taken. For example: Qualification - Maths GCSE | School/College - RANT Academy | Grade - 9 | Dates of study - Sep 2015 – Aug 2020
  • Job TitleCompanyJob RoleDates 
    Talk about any work experiences you may have had. Include setting up and running your business. For example: Job Title - Director | Company - RANT Academy | Job role - Managing the company and negotiating with partners etc. | Dates - Jan 2021 - DATE
